Palm trees

How we do it.

Palms are everywhere from Aransas Pass to Calallen, and the tall ones are hard to keep up with. Dead fronds hang in a skirt under the green, seed pods drop on the pool and the patio, and a dead palm sooner or later comes down on its own.

Our bucket trucks reach the tops of the tall fan palms without anyone climbing the trunk. We clean them up to the green, take off the seed pods, and haul every frond away. Palms that are dead or in the way come down in sections like any other removal.

We do this work in Portland, Taft, Gregory, Sinton, Odem, Calallen, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Woodsboro, Corpus Christi, plus Refugio. Free estimates everywhere we go.

Questions

Answers before you call.

How tall a palm can you reach?

The bucket trucks reach the tall fan palms you see along the highways. If a palm is somewhere a truck can't park, we'll tell you how we'd get to it on the estimate.

Can you trim a whole row of palms at a business?

Yes. We trim palms at apartment complexes and business lots, usually in one visit.

Do you haul off the fronds?

Yes. Every frond and pod goes on the truck.

How often should palm trees be trimmed?

Most fan palms look their best with a cleanup once or twice a year. Taking off the dead fronds and seed pods is enough. Cutting off healthy green fronds weakens the palm.

Should I trim palms before hurricane season?

Taking off dead fronds and seed pods before a storm keeps them from flying into windows and cars. Leave the green fronds on. Over-trimmed palms hold up worse in high wind, not better.

Do you remove dead palm trees?

Yes. Dead palms are taken down from the bucket in sections and hauled away.

Do you work on palms at businesses and apartment complexes?

Yes. Commercial palm jobs are a regular part of our work, usually done in one visit.
